“I’ve had women I’m interested in express some interest in me, but after we learned more about each other, they explained why they didn’t think it was worth pursuing any further in a matter-of-fact, respectful way. To me, these are the most impressive, classy women that exist. Take the time to express that you’re not interested in a direct, compassionate way that provides closure to someone pursuing you, and don’t be mean if someone gets upset while you’re trying to do this. There’s nothing else a woman has ever done to me that’s as impressive as this, because they’re showing they believe that even someone they’re not interested in deserves to be treated in a way that preserves their dignity. When you’re not interested in someone and decide to communicate that indirectly via a cowardly retreat into slower responses and eventual silence, that’s very painful. What you’re doing is making it much more difficult for them than it needs to be, just to avoid a potentially uncomfortable interaction.”
“A lot of guys don’t think about how they look before going on dates, even though women pay attention to the little details related to appearance. Make sure you are well-groomed (check for dirty fingernails, freshly apply deodorant, shower). Second, make sure your clothes match, aren’t wrinkled, and look decent on you.” –David Bennett, Dating Coach at The Popular Man
If you want to know more about someone, you can always just ask the friend you have in common, which is a nice human touch that’s absent from most dating apps. Moreover, people can message you only if you’ve matched, so no unsolicited “greetings” from someone you would never match with. You can see what sort of relationship people are looking for, and while that doesn’t sound that revolutionary, it reflects the fact that Hinge carries more of a dating expectation than a just-hooking-up expectation à la Tinder. Furthermore, because of the friends-of-friends connection, you’re less likely to run across inappropriate photos. That’s a plus in our book.

In Australia, men typically ask out women for dates by text messaging.[14] A recent study revealed that 50% of Australians agreed it was permissible to request a date via a text message but not acceptable to break up with them this way.[14] Flirting while texting, dubbed flirtext, was more likely to be done by girls after a relationship was started.[14] A survey of newspaper readers suggested it was time to abandon the "old fashioned rule" of men paying for the first date, based on women's greater earning capacity.[149] A dating show on TV features three couples who live under one roof, but who can only have contact in a "specially created dark room", and the show is scheduled to be hosted by Miss Australia model Laura Dundovic.[150]

Models is the first book ever written on seduction as an emotional process rather than a logical one (like The Game). Through honesty and being an all round genuine and awesome bloke, Mark Mason teaches men to approach. According to him the key is to be honest and direct, which shows her that you find her attractive and sexy; but not hung up on her response. He also teaches men how to deal with rejection and use it to their advantage. A great read.
11. European men don’t play games. Nor will they freak out when discussions of commitment or future come up. Americans (both men and women) have been socialized to play games, to act unavailable, to wait a particular amount of time before texting back… There are a set of ritualized rules that are abided by in American dating culture, and if you don’t play within them, you are labeled as desperate or needy or undesirable.

Friends remain an extremely common way for people to meet[155] However, the Internet promises to overtake friends in the future, if present trends continue.[40][155] A friend can introduce two people who don't know each other, and the friend may play matchmaker and send them on a blind date. In The Guardian, British writer Hannah Pool was cynical about being set up on a blind date; she was told "basically he's you but in a male form" by the mutual friend.[156] She googled her blind date's name along with the words "wife" and "girlfriend" and "partner" and "boyfriend" to see whether her prospective date was in any kind of relationship or gay; he wasn't any of these things.[156] She met him for coffee in London and she now lives with him, sharing a home and business.[156] When friends introduce two people who do not know each other, it is often called a blind date.

Phone dating systems of about the same vintage, where customers call a common voice mail or phone-chat server at a common local phone number, and are connected with other (reputed) singles, and typically charged by the minute as if it were a long-distance call (often a very expensive one). A key problem of such systems was that they were hard to differentiate from a phone porn service or "phone sex" where female operators are paid to arouse male customers and have no intention of ever dating them.
I know someone who not just opted out, but switched sexualities due to this. They got with a very feminine gay guy, who was suffering due to the gay scene being so small and not giving. They ended up very happy together, sexually satisfied, romance, little-to no fighting, and so on. This leads me to think it's a culture problem, with the West. Mainly US women and Canada.
4.  European men are comfortable with women, which leads to respect for women. Perhaps this has to do with their upbringing, where it’s very normal for boys and girls to play and intermingle together. They grow up developing friendships with the opposite sex and in turn, develop more empathy and understanding of the opposite sex. In American culture, there is a clear segregation of the sexes, boys play with boys and do boy things and girls do the same. Then these boys grow up and are exposed to the opposite sex in an abrupt, often sexualized way.  The consequence of this is a lack of understanding of women, a lack of comfort and often, a lack of respect.
